Knowing exercise is good for you isn't the problem

The difficult part is doing it consistently.

Most people don't need convincing that exercise is good for them. They need a realistic way of fitting it into a life that already contains work, family, responsibilities and the occasional week where everything goes wrong.

60 Days to Better Strength & Fitness is about building that routine.

Over 60 days, you'll gradually develop two important forms of exercise: resistance training to help build and maintain strength, and interval training to improve cardiovascular fitness.

The aim isn't to exercise every day. It's to practise the habits that make regular exercise more likely — then give those habits enough time to become part of normal life.

A simple training foundation

Strength and fitness.
Without making exercise your whole life.

You don't need to train every day or spend endless hours in the gym. The course focuses on two useful forms of exercise that can provide a strong foundation for long-term health and physical capability.

Resistance training

Build strength

Learn how to make resistance training a regular part of your week and gradually build strength through simple, progressive training.

Interval training

Build fitness

Use short periods of harder cardiovascular work alongside recovery to develop fitness efficiently without needing long cardio sessions.

Exercise is a behaviour

Build the habit.
Then build on it.

A good exercise plan only works when it actually gets done. That's why this programme isn't just about sets, reps and intervals. It's also about creating the conditions that make exercise easier to repeat.

1

Make it manageable

Start with an amount of exercise that fits your current life rather than building a routine you can't maintain.

2

Practise consistency

Repeat the important behaviours often enough for exercise to become increasingly familiar and easier to organise.

3

Progress gradually

As the routine becomes established, gradually progress your training so your strength and fitness can progress with it.

Questions

Before you begin

Do I need to exercise every day for 60 days?

No. Absolutely not. The 60 days give you time to build and practise an exercise routine. Your actual training will take place across the week, with rest and recovery forming part of the process.

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. The aim is to help you establish an appropriate starting point and develop gradually rather than expecting you to arrive already fit or experienced.

What type of exercise does the course focus on?

The programme is built primarily around resistance training for strength and interval training for cardiovascular fitness, alongside the habits and routines that make regular exercise easier to maintain.

Do I need a gym?

Access to resistance-training equipment will give you more options, but the principles of the course can be applied in different training environments. The important part is having a form of resistance and cardiovascular exercise appropriate for you.

What if I miss workouts?

You continue. Missing a session doesn't undo the work you've already done. Part of building a sustainable exercise routine is learning how to return to it when work, family, illness or life gets in the way.

What if I'm already exercising?

The programme may still be useful if your exercise tends to be inconsistent or you want a clearer structure for combining resistance and cardiovascular training. Experienced trainees with an established programme may need something more advanced.

What if I have an injury or medical condition?

This is an educational exercise and habit-building programme, not medical treatment. If you have an injury, medical condition or concerns about starting exercise, seek appropriate advice from a qualified healthcare professional before beginning.

Is the payment recurring?

No. Payment is a single, one-time payment.
