Time

Time sees everything.

It sees us reach, or fail to reach, our goals.

It sees us develop skills and acquire knowledge, or it sees us stagnate.

It sees relationships grow or fall apart.

And it sees wounds open, but it also sees them heal.

Time passes no matter what.

How you choose to spend your time will ultimately decide where you end up.

You CAN see the future – You are the sum of today’s, tomorrow’s, and the day after’s behaviours and actions.

What you choose to do with your time will accurately predict your path.

You HAVE to find ways to create and carve out the time to do the things that matter most, the things that will make a difference, and the things that will shape the future you want.

When it comes to health, it means sacrificing some of the short-term comforts for long-term wellbeing. It means making conscious decisions to prioritise yourself, your body, and your mind.

When it comes to your career, you sometimes have to make the difficult choices that others won’t – choosing growth over comfort, challenging yourself when others stay complacent, and making sacrifices in the short term for long-term success.

When it comes to your sport, it means pushing past the limits of what feels easy, training when you don’t feel like it, and staying committed to your progress even when it gets tough.

Imagine looking back when time is drawing to a close and thinking, ‘I wasted time.’

Time wasted in a job that never fulfilled you.

Time wasted in a relationship that held you back.

Time wasted in indecision, hesitation, and regret.

I can’t imagine a worse feeling.

It’s no surprise that often, the people who are most successful are those who have found ways to ‘afford’ themselves more time – time to focus, time to grow, and time to take action.
